Charges in addition to the price of the goods
None. Shipping is included in the price.
Delivery
Makuake pre-orders: dispatched from late November 2026, in the order received, once the project has closed and the cases are made. We report progress in the project updates on Makuake.
Each case is cut and sewn one at a time at the atelier, so the number we can send at once is limited.
Regular orders: dispatched within 3–5 business days of your order.
Outside Japan: KAIRN KYOTO is not currently sold outside Japan. We plan to open on Kickstarter in spring 2027, and the terms of that campaign will be set out on the campaign page.
Payment methods and timing
Credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. You are charged when the order is confirmed.
Returns and exchanges
Nature of the product: each case is cut and sewn one at a time from natural cotton canvas. Variation in the texture of the cloth is a property of the material and is not a defect.
Change of mind: we do not accept returns or exchanges because the item differs from what you had pictured, or because of an ordering error.
Damaged or incorrect items: if your case arrives damaged or soiled, or if you receive an item you did not order, write to the email address above within 7 days of delivery. We will explain how to send it back, and we cover the return shipping.
Refunds
Once we have received the returned item, we issue the refund within 7 business days, through the original payment provider or by bank transfer.
